Weinwandertag sampling event returns to Soldier Creek Winery on Saturday, July 11 from 2 to 5 PM, and this beloved annual tradition is back and better than ever.

Pronounced “Vine-vAHn-der-tahg,” Weinwandertag is our most anticipated sampling event of the season — a celebration of wine, community, fresh air, and everything that makes Soldier Creek Winery such a special destination right here in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Additionally, this year’s event is packed with more reasons than ever to come out, bring your people, and make a full afternoon of it.

The Weinwandertag sampling event experience begins with a $14 sampling fee that gets you access to wine samples, River Hops Brewing beer samples, Wildcat Distillery whiskey samples, Community Orchard‘s Doc Otto’s Hard Cider samples, samples from our beloved charcuterie boxes, and more — all enjoyed in the warm atmosphere of our scenic winery venue. Whether you are a longtime Weinwandertag regular or joining us for the very first time, the sampling experience alone is worth every penny and then some. Local musician Alex Trevino will be performing live outdoors, weather permitting, bringing the perfect musical backdrop to an already unforgettable afternoon of fun.

So, we are thrilled to offer an exclusive guided vineyard hike for just $6 per person, available to add on to your sampling experience. The guided vineyard hike includes a mid-hike tasting of wines not being sampled inside the winery — making it a truly exclusive experience you simply cannot get any other way.
